Review:
5 stars!
I love everything to do with Narnia and have read all these books before. I think the storytelling is great. The plot is amazing and creative. These books are obviously aimed at children, but I think there's so much in them for adults as well.

She has done it again. As with nearly all of Sarah J Maas' books I couldn't put it down. I was sobbing and laughing at the same time in the end of this masterpiece. I am so excited to see what happens next!

It was a decent book, with an alright plot. However I didn't find it super intriguing and eventually did just want to finish it.
The characters were mostly good.

I have very mixed feelings about this book. Some elements were good, but overall I found it a bit lacking. I think the idea was great, but it needed more time to develop. I found certain elements very fast paced and others incredibly slow. I am personally not a fan of constant flashbacks and specially when they aren't necessary for the plot. A lot of the flashbacks felt like fillers. I was quite dissapointed when we were told why the curse was put on the two main characters, as it felt a bit lackluster. However there were moving moments, and some good plot twists along the way. Overall it's a 3 star read for me. I am not sure if I will be reading the second installation in this series, but maybe one day I will.

Once again Rebecca Yarros took us on a JOURNEY! Wow. Just wow! I am still in shock over the massive plot twist and cliff hanger at the end. As soon as I finished this book I started it over again to annotate and try and come up with theories for what will happen in the next book. There is so many details hidden in the text that you only discover on your second read. The characters are stunning, both old and new. The world building continues in such a natural way. I never feel like the information is being shoved down my throat. The opening catch up is amazing. Some times it feels too "here's a catch up of what happened in the last book" but Yarros using Brennan to talk us through is pure perfection.
This book is so action packed and fast paced you have to be very awake when you read.
Rebecca, please don't let us suffer for too long. I need the next book now!

What a book! It has been a very long time since I have read a book that could draw me in like Fourth Wing. Everything from the characters, the magic, the dragons was pure perfection.
The book follows Violet Sorrengail's first year in the riders quadrant of Basgiath War College. It is a brutal and lethal three year training to become a dragon rider. From how to enter the quadrant, hand to hand combat, the gauntlet and threshing, this book is a real page turner.
This book had me in an absolute choke hold.
Some of the things that made it so incredible was how everything was described. Usually fight scenes are hard for me to follow, but Yarros described them so clearly that I could see it all in my head.
I finished this book in 3 days, afterwards I started over straight away to annotate the whole book as there were so many things that had been hidden in the text, you wouldn't realise the meaning of until the very end.
If you have not read this book yet, do yourself a favour and start right away. You will not regret it!
